From his small-town roots in Thayer, MO, to his life-changing experiences in Siena, Italy, Broc’s journey has shaped his unique approach to event entertainment.
“I don’t want to spend my life just ‘making a living,'” Broc shares. “I want to live with my heart wide open, creating experiences that invite others to do the same.” This philosophy has attracted hundreds of clients who trust him to transform their events from ordinary to unforgettable. What inspired you to start your own business?
I started Elevate Entertainment and Selfie Mirror Photo Experiences with the belief that our clients’ special events should be extraordinary for them. I’m completely convinced that they deserve it. At first I thought it would only be a small company with a big vision, but then the incredible happened. Hundreds of clients have come to request our service all over the Midwest, trusting in our talents to bring their vision for their event to life.
What has been most inspiring to you?
For a semester in college, I lived in Siena, Italy with one other American roommate and two Italian roommates. The entire experience was incredible. I was passionate about understanding their way of thinking, so I learned Italian before I went and I worked hard to experience the Italian lifestyle while I was there. I changed my eating and living habits, my wardrobe, and even my hairstyle.
It was one of the most enlightening experiences of my life. I traveled extensively throughout Europe. I saw monuments and traditions that were literally thousands of years old. I even DJ’ed while I was there. I was in a totally different place, a totally different experience of life. All of the things I thought I had understood about life were reframed, including my own identity. And through that, I learned so much more about who I am. It truly inspired me to give what I have to offer to make this world better.
It made me realize that this life is short and its moments are fleeting. I don’t want to spend my life trying to “make a living”. I want to spend it present and alive in every moment, living with my heart wide open and inviting others to those experiences!
How would you describe your personality?
I would describe myself as highly engaging, exuberant, visionary, and very outgoing but I’m able to adjust to the people I am with.
What's your favorite part about working at Elevate?
I love the people. Both the clients and the co-workers.
I love my clients because they give me the honor of being one of the most significant parts of their special life moments. It’s incredible that I get to be with them celebrating these moments. They are truly such wonderful people.
I love my team. Words can’t describe how lucky I feel with the team that I have. They are some of the most committed, passionate, engaging people I’ve ever met. They continue to deliver the absolute best in their field. They work hard and they play hard, and they are genuinely some of the best people I know!
